Elizabeth Eaton

Elizabeth Eaton

Elizabeth’s journey with Yoga began as an infant. Her mother was deeply immersed in yoga and meditation, and she imparted this gift to Elizabeth through children’s yoga classes and Satsang at Radha Yoga Centre. As a child, Elizabeth received knowledge of energetics, crystal healing, and mantra, and was encouraged to explore her manifestation of divine light.

Elizabeth’s focus shifted to other interests throughout her adolescence but she always returned to Yoga to settle her mind and inspire her spirit. When she left Ottawa in 2005 to attend McGill University, the practice of yoga became a spiritual pursuit, helping her to awaken and connect to her True Self.

After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology in 2009, Elizabeth returned to Ottawa and joined PranaShanti Yoga Centre at Reception; she immediately sensed that it was a very special place.

While on retreat at Kripalu in October 2009, Elizabeth decided to train in the tradition of Swami Kripalu’s teachings. She became a 200-hour Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor in June of 2010, under the guidance of Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds.

In July 2010, Elizabeth began teaching at PranaShanti, while maintaining a regular Reception schedule, and sustaining a personal practice of Hatha and Bhakti Yoga. Since then she has taken on the role of Reception Lead and Seva Manager, and works full-time at the desk. PranaShanti has become a home for her, and she hopes you will discover the joy of sanctuary and stillness here as well.

In November 2011, Elizabeth also joined Freeing the Human Spirit, a program that conducts meditation and yoga classes in prisons.

Namaste and Jai Bhagwan!
