Do you have any tips for keeping my liver
healthy?
The liver is the largest internal
organ in the body. It is located in the upper right-hand side
of the abdomen and acts as a filter to remove toxins (harmful
substances) and waste products from the blood. Here are a few
tips to help keep your liver in tip-top
shape.
Chew your food well to help
release enzymes that aid in digestion.
Avoid
any foods to which you may be intolerant. They will
produce toxins in the digestive system and reduce your body's
natural ability to detoxify.
Eat foods rich
in antioxidants like raisins, berries, bananas, carrots,
sweet potatoes, peas and hazelnuts
Add yoga
poses or exercises to your workout routine that involve
side bends and gentle twists. These positions squeeze and
stretch the liver to help it detoxify.
Keep your liver
happy and you're helping keep your whole body happy.
