Pain in the neck? Here's relief

By Alison Finney

How can I stretch out stiffness in my neck?

Use this simple exercise to keep your neck and shoulders in good shape.

• Nod your head slowly forward, bringing your chin toward your chest. Repeat five times.

• Turn your head from side to side very slowly until your chin aligns with your shoulder. Repeat five times.

• Tilt your head slowly from side to side, bringing your ear to your shoulder.

This exercise is especially good for those who spend a lot of time working on a computer.

Repeat daily or as needed, being gentle with sensitive areas in the neck.
