How can I stay positive when I'm feeling down?

Changing negative thoughts to positive ones isn't always easy. But staying positive can actually boost your energy levels. Next time you notice your mood turning a little negative, give one of these tips a try.

• Each time a negative thought comes up, try to counter it with a positive one.

• Give a friend or coworker a compliment.

• Write down your goals and achievements with positive language, such as "I am exercising regularly."

• Imagine yourself having achieved your goals.

By keeping a positive outlook you will feel happier and start to see more of the good things in your life.
