The burning sensation of a sore
throat can be the sign of a cold or it can be caused by dry
air or allergies.
Here are three soothing
remedies:
The spice turmeric has antiseptic
qualities to fight bacteria. Stir 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1
teaspoon of ground turmeric into a cup of warm water and
gargle with this mixture before going to
bed.
Sage reduces swollen tissue. Chop 2
teaspoons of fresh sage leaves and place them in a cup. Fill
the cup with boiling water and let the mixture steep for 10
minutes. Strain the leaves. Let the sage tea cool and use it
as a mouthwash.
Ginger and pineapple contain
natural anti-inflammatory agents that can speed the healing of
a sore throat. Juice 1 cup of fresh pineapple and a slice of
ginger for a delicious healing drink.
